i wish i knew how to quit you....

Since the release of the soundtrack album by Verve Records, three remixes of the Gustavo Santaolalla track "The Wings" have been created and released by Verve on a CD-single and in addition to that, a solo single was performed and written by Shane August. It was originally composed instrumentally for the OST Brokeback Mountain by Gustavo Santaolalla. The powerfull strumming of the guitar and the simple & honest words is so overwelming, you might experience a goosebump. This is too much for my ear to comprehend.

Date Night - Down & Dirty?!?

Sometimes it takes two comedic actors to make a humorous movie works ; like Steve Carell ( The Office) and Tina Fey (30 Rocks). This pair work so well together they make us laugh out loud in their natural compatible ability.
Both actors did what they do best - giving their best expression and punch-lines so well, you cannot help but seriously laugh it out loud.
As the movie features numerous non-comedic guest actors like Mark Ruffalo, Mark Wahlberg, Ray Liotta, Mila Kunis, James Franco, Common, Jimmi Simpson, William Fichtner and Leighton Meester makes the movie more figuratively sexy hilarious!

Steve Carell together with Tina Fey is a hoot!

"WE MAKE OUR OWN DESTINY"- Dastan,Prince Of Persia

Photo by Andrew Cooper, SMPSP – © Disney Enterprises, Inc. and Jerry Bruckheimer, Inc. All rights reserved.
Disney's new epic, Prince Of Persia ; The Sands of Time staring Jake Gyllenhaal with a little twang of a British accent (because the character is not royalty) is clearly made for global audience. If I'm in the mood to be hyper self-critical, I would say perhaps I allowed (the movie) to become a little homogenous, but I'm not sure. Making it homogenous is teribble danger.

Then again, I hope people are being entertained at such speed, with such vigor and inventiveness that I'm actually wrong about that fact. Or that they don't notice.
Giving it Persian or Morroccan or Turkish; they allcome frm the Arabian family. The world of Arabia always excites me. The cultures, the music, the architecture & design, the WAR & worrior and the MEN!
This month GQ cover features Jake Gyllenhaal, talks about finding the perfect woman and how an indie-film boy became the next big action star. Pick up the May issue of GQ to read the complete story.

It's The Climb

The Climb - from Disney's OST Hannah Montana The Movie

The Climb

I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
The pain I'm knowing
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on,

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

The Climb cover by Joe McElderrry (The X-factor winner)

Secret Love for CHAD WHITE

Photographed by Terry Richardson for Calibre Spring Summer 2008
It's so hard to get a decent pics of this Portland native male model, as most of his photoshoot / editorial/ fashion spread / commercial ads especially for Dolce & Gabanna and Versace contain explicit photos or flashing images which may offend certain people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Chad White is your all-American man. Born in Portland, Oregon in July the 11th of 1985, this model is a rookie in the fashion scene but as far as being new, he quickly turned into the favorite of major fashion house. He has been busy modelling and rated as top 15 male model . His smile melts everyone and truly shows himself as genuine human being yet his pics turn out FIERCE!

Don't believe me?

The weirdest part is Chad was in my dream (recently prior to this post) among other non-related people whose genuinely and honestly wanted to be a friend.....and for the record, he gave me his phone number.

Both of his numbers......and that is GENUINE!

........and here is the song that i heard on the radio before i close my eyes to dream.

OST Monalisa Smile - Secret Love by Mandy Moore

Secret Love

Once I had a secret love
That lived within the heart of me
All too soon my secret love
Became impatient to be free

So I told a friendly star
The way that dreamers often do
Just how wonderful you are
And why I'm so in love with you

Now I shout it from the highest hill
Even told the golden daffodils
At last my heart's an open door
And my secret love's no secret anymore :p

Star Trek's Breakout : Chris Pine

I purchased this copy a while ago but just got a chance to flip through it. Chris Pine is a new face for STAR TREK's enteprise. Not a big fan tho' for sci-fi space odessy but decided to watch it today. It's a series i grew up with (even i changed the channel to Jem & The Hologram eventually LOL!!!!). But the pointy ears creature is sci-fi CLASSIC!!! Amongst the aliens out there, it's CHIC & SEXY and it's a new BLACK!!

Chris Pine has a natural sense of style and definitely looks good in suits. With piercing blue eyes, it enhances the oxford looks. Simple yet stylish.

.....and i'm uncertain about the non-existence cover.

Somebody To Love

After LOVE ACTUALLY, it seems like Hollywood keen on doing an all-star ensemble cast for a romantic comedy, love-based movie which occurs every year during LOVE month; F23BRUARY. Last year it was "He's just not into You"with 9 Hollywood star-studded and again this year with "Valentine's Day" lining up 19 Hollywood powerhouse celebs following the intertwining storylines of a diverse group of Las Angelenos navigate their way through romance and heartbreak over the course of Valentine's Day. It was a very simple, predictable movie but funny & entertaining.

Weird enough that the opening number of the movie; (For Once In My Life ) isn't in the OST but enough to catchz my attention to uncover the soundtrack.
And for anyone out there who believes in LOVE as i always am, here are some my favorites number from OST Valentine's Day.

It's a perfect date movie ! ......and my date was Aziz (ex-hommie).

The Girl In The Green Scarf

The most sublimely-contemporary romantic comedy i've ever seen!! It's an enjoyable cautionary tale which everybody will love. As a matter of fact, watched it twice with my other mid-degree shopaholic hommies.
Alas, this is the truth! Vis-à-vis the perils of overspending on your credit card, the movie is genuinely honest. I got 5 credit cards myself, spend with a maximum limit but pay it with the lowest possible degree. It took me for almost 7 years to completely pay my bills. Ok now I’m down with 2 cards as I’ve made a full settlement for the others. Ok, I lied. 3 cards now; AMEX, CITIBANK (Visa) and HSBC (Visa).
Well, I can’t help it, its a (retail) THERAPHY because when we shop, the world become a better place and when it is NOT, then we shop again.

Until the cashier says : DECLINED…its really DECLINED :P

and as usual, a few songs frm the OST Confessions of a Shopaholic for your iPod.

Rehab - Amy Winehouse click to download :)

and REHAB is not part of the song listed in the soundtrack yet Rebecca Bloomwood use it for her ringtone. Isn't it cute? So what's your ringtone?

the guide for all singletons : He’s Just Not That Into You.

This movie demonstrates that point perfectly! If you are a Sex and the City fan like me, then you know exactly where the premise of this film came from. I remembered and watched again in one episode ( it was on episode 4 of season six entitled: “Pick-a-Little, Talk-a-Little” ) when the ferocious Miranda Hobbes learns: “that guy you may be into, is just not that into you".
The premise of this film is very SIMPLE and also presented directly within the title: He’s Just Not That Into You. This six-worded phrase falls more into COMPLICATED category afterall.
Dealing with the tough world of love, this film shows just some of the problems people might have either in relationships or when being single: sex, love, relationship and betrayal.
Too often, the things you want most is the one thing you can’t have. And as intidimating as it may seems, I am part of the rule and not the exception. I should have known better but repeatedly misinterprets the signs. But it soon becomes apparent that we are not compatible that I would imagine. Nevertheless, even though i obsessed over everything and have embarrassed myself many times, but i'm closer to finding love than he is. Because as though as wanting something can be the people who suffer the most are those who don’t know what the want.

I'm the eternal optimist! This just means that it's time to say - Next!

American Idols Part 2

Kris Allen (oh boy!); newly wedded guy who swoon us with his sweet incredible voice. He’s musically talented and believe me he is not just pretty face. However, he’s no extraordinary but he got his moment and he definitely got a pimp spot! This Top 9 contestant was given the liberty to pick any song as long as it’s a popular download on iTunes. Kris Allen likes taking old songs and making them contemporary. Accompanied by a string section, he sang “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers (OST Notting Hill), ditching the guitar for the keyboards. I have to admit that he delivered this time. The song came across emotional and moving. This was definitely his best performance of the season.

As Kara pointed it out : “That is artistry!”

and not to forget the original number by Bill Wither - "Ain't No Sunshine" from OST Notting Hill
